Mike was born 29th July 1982. In his younger years he was predominantly raised by his grandparents with a strict hand.

Mike’s grandfather was an avid country music fan, and would only allow country music (and the odd 50/60s track) to be played in the house, therefore Mike grew up listening to country.

At the age of 3 Mike was encouraged to join children’s dance classes, and learnt the basics for salsa, jive, Irish, tap. However he was a rebellious child and never lasted more than a few weeks before getting bored and giving up.

At the age of 8 Mike’s mother (who had been attending a line dance class for a few weeks with a friend), Paid him to attend with her for one class, so he was dragged along sulking and moaning… however once there he really enjoyed it, and willingly went back the following week.

He hasn’t looked back since and is still dancing today.

In 2003 Mike started teaching, and now runs a few classes over the week.

Recently Mike has progressed to creating his own choreographed routines.

In his 20 plus years of line dance, Mike has helped train a welsh champion competitor, as well as assisting in several charity events.

Mike has most recently start to organize his own social events and charity events.
